Today :)

Well most of today I have been looking at vidoes on you tube to see what I could make my second like. I want to do mix of EMO and Punk rock. Or Rock mixed with rave but I dont think it would sound to good. The first song I made Was light rock with some slow drum beats. I all so converted a song from you tube into my own loop to use in my mix.

On monday we started our 4th unit (music). First john gave our research we had to do and then today we started on the cubase project. I am looking forward to doing this unit because. Music is one of the things I would like to do for a living and because music is one of my passions.

All today I have been finishing my web site, and here are some pictures I have used in my web site. All these pictures have been used on my Merchandise page on my web site. I have found making my web site easy to make so far.

All of today I have been doing my web site. I have learnt how to edit HTMLs, and practical just learnt how to use DreamWeaver.

Catch up post

For the last few weeks we have been working on our 3rd project that is unit4. In the new unit the first thing we had to do was 18 pages of research on the World Wide Web, which I have finished. Then we had to do three pages of research on a web site that we like and that could help us get ideas for the web site we are making. The web site that I did my research on was the Gears of War and this site is just a different way to look at your online stats and to go on the fourms.
Then we had to do another five pages on the plan of the web site we will be making.
And now we are making our web site and I have done one page and hoping to do more as we go along.
I think this unit would be better if I could do it my way. I think that DreamWeaver is hard to learn and I would prefer to just do hand coding on the web site.

Today I started making my web site. My web site is a gears of war web site so far I have started doing my index page/ Home page I have got some writing and a rollover image on their at the moment and I am hoping to finish the rest of today.

Last week in key skills we had to stand up and do a presentation for one min. We had to talk about, What would you do with a million pounds. And today in key skills we had to write some notes about our 18page research.

Today was all about carrying on with the 18 page reseach. I was trying to finish of the history and devlopment of the World Wide Web. Here are some pictures of Tim Berners-Lee. Tim Berners-Lee was the creater of the first internet used computer and he help make the World Wide Web.

Today we stated on unit4 web authoring. Just like all the others we have be started of with a 18page research. The first part of the research is on the hitory and development of the World Wide Web. So far i have done three of the 18 pages of research.

unit9 Advertising finished

Today i finished unit9 Advertising. I finished my final bus advert my evaluation, This is a picture of my bus ad. I also finished my evaluation and my four page research.

In the evaluation i was asked questions like how did you make you final design and what tools did you use while making the bus ad and what would you do if you had another chance to do it again.

In my four page research you had to get screen grabs of my work when it was coming together.

First day back

Started thge first day back finishing of my key skills home work/SDS.. We had to pick an advert and talk about the target audience, the images used, the language used, the massage the advert is trying to say and what we have learnt about semiotics.

Done today been doing my first2 page reasearch and stating on my bus advert idea.

We started our first big task. The task is about make our own bus ad on one of these, Greenpeace, Smartcar, Jeans, Apple/Mac computers. After you have picked one you have to draw it on the side of the bus, then edit it on photoshop.

Last friday post

Last friday we started out first task in advertising, we have to do a 12 page research on Visaul Language, Semiotics,Product Branding and Product Adverising.
it is quite hard and will tak a long time to finish.

12 October 2009

Today we started on our advertising unit. The task was to make four copys of the same image and create four different texts for the images, and we had to tey to get the four different texts to go with four different age groups, 10-16, 16-19, -20-25,-35-45. Over the weekend i finished the ten page research on our final posters and the 150 words on the advertising on a Billbored advert, the Tv advert and the internet advert.

8/october/09

All today i have been finishing of my final posters, This is what they turned out like. The second poster didn't take me as long as the first poster took to make, I think it was because it was easier to put the point across by just using pictures.

After I finished off my poster I had to do a ten page evaluation on the posters. John gave us a sheet off questions on it saying "How did you get you pictures and were from", Future work this was asking us if we had a another chance to do it again what would you do, and "What was your project about" and each question had to have a 150 answer to go with it.

Now we have finished unit5 we are going on to unit6 Adverstising. we start this next week.

poster1 finished and poster2 started

Today I have been finishing off my first poster. All I had to do to it was put my last pictures in, one that I took myself and one that I scanned. Then I made them look more like they are meant to be in the poster then just puting them in the poster all different colours by contrasting them and bluring them out.












This is what I have done on my second poster soo far.
This poster is about young drunk kids and all the picures in the poster soo far are ones that I have taken myself.

5 October 2009:)

Today was all about finishing our first poster and then moveing on to our second and last poster.I picked the poster on homeless chilldren beacuse, it is one of the worst kinds of child abuse there is and its the easiest poster to get your point across with out using Pictures.





At the same time doing your posters we have to take screen prints of the work because, we are doing a 10 piece of work on how the posters were consructed and looked while being finished. Some of the tools i used in photoshop today were the eraser. magic eraser,Burn tool, Copy and paste, Lasso. Magic wand.

key skills post

Today we had key skills and our task was to have a talk in the groups that we got put in. We had to talk about photoshoping pictures to make people look different. We had to ask each other qusetions about the good points and the bad points of the photoshop ethics.

Most of yesterday we started talk about useing the camera for our first poster John splt us up into groups and we had to go out side with the cameras and take some pictures with the check list that john gave us. Here are some of the pictures that we took yesterday.

Mock-up 2

This is my mock up for child abuse probity the most straight forward poster i done.
I found this poster the easiest because i remebered most of the websites i got the pitures from my mood boards from, so i just found a good background and went on the same websites from my mood boards for some pictures on my posters.

Most of today we have been doing our brief/Practice towards our final design on the posters. This is my mock-up of Homeless children probably my favourite design i have done all day.
This is my favourite design because of the way i have put all the pictures together like the money in the window and the homeless people on the floor underneath the money. I made this poster to say that money is a object for homeless children but it is out of their reach.

Key skills

This morning in key skills we have been doing research in photoshop ethics. This is what we will be talking about in our groups next week. My target in key skills is to have more opinions while in a discussion.

Well today

Today has been a busy day have done lots. I have started task 3 on the three posters. About 2 0clock the class all went into three people groups and chated about some things we could put on our posters.Near the end of the day we started doing a mock-up on our final desing, i got most of my pictures on the internet but when we do are design for real we are only aloud one picture of the internet.

First time useing photoshop at college:)

Yesterday we started useing photophotp for the first time. We had to cut four different pictures together to make one useing the lasso the worst tool on photoshop, It was pretty good i enjoyed it. We used different kinds of tools on there like the Magic wand and the paint brush,lasso.

Today i have finished the rest of my research and whatched a film on John Hartfield. The film was about the way he made the art to make a joke, and putting across his political views of germany in 1939, and i started thinking about what i am going to do on my mood bored.
